THE CABINET OF THE INVENTOR OF THE BLOWER
Janez Puhar, the first Slovenian photographer, has his own memorial house in the cultural quarter of Kranj. The House invites visitors of all ages to discover the mysteries and life of an intriguing inventor.
The house houses a museum room describing Puhar’s life and the process of photographing on glass, a room of moving pictures and illusions, and a photographic studio 19. century, where you can dress up in the costumes of the time and take home a photographic portrait of your family or friends on glass.
The Janez Puhar Cabinet offers expert-guided tours for groups, various experiences for visitors of all ages, education for children, teambuilding and birthday parties. There is also a small souvenir shop in the house where you can buy various souvenirs on glass with
MUSEUM
The Janez Puhar Museum Room offers an insight into the life and work of the first Slovenian photographer, the inventor of photography on glass and the author of the first real photographic selfie.
